Canadian Burnet
Sanguisorba canadensis
A rhizomatous wetland perennial with 7-15 toothed pinnate leaflets per leaf. Dense, white flower spikes appear in mid to late summer. Member of the Rose family. Attracts many pollinators. Can be grown in an average garden with adequate moisture but may become invasive when grown in wetland conditions. Tolerant of all soil types including clay.
