A greenish-white flowered, drought tolerant prairie native, this plant is noted for its interesting seed head a long thimble-like cylindrical cone. An essential species in prairie restoration. Blends well with Butterfly Milkweed, Lance-leaved Coreopsis, Hairy Beardtongue, Black-eyed Susan and many prairie grass species.
