Lowrie's Aster
Symphyotrichum lowrieanum
Similar in appearance to Aster cordifolius but with very smooth leaves. Blooms are blue-violet. Useful in a woodland garden to increase species diversity and to provide late season colour. Also a valuable species to benefit pollinating insects.
