Yellow Giant Hyssop

Yellow Giant Hyssop

Agastache nepetoides

A herbaceous perennial wildflower that is suitable for gardens. Found in woodlands, thickets, and open areas like prairies and fields, it grows up to 1.5m tall and can add visual interest to your space. It prefers the sun and some shade and is adaptable to soil types but requires good drainage and medium moisture.

The plant is characterized by tall spikes up to 30cm long, with small, muted yellow flowers blooming from July to September, attracting butterflies and bees. Unlike Agastache foeniculum, Yellow Giant Hyssop does not have a fragrance. Its root system allows for spreading and colony formation but is not invasive. Include Yellow Giant Hyssop in your garden for vertical interest and textural contrast.
